The Northern Ohio Fire Fighters believe the interest of the fire fighter in the fire station should be our number one concern. We need to make sure fire fighters are provided a safe working environment; the best equipment available to perform the dangerous duties; the best compensation and benefit package the community can afford; financial and health care protection in the event of injury; a fair opportunity to advance their career; and events to enjoy the camaraderie that fire fighters are famous for.
We are an organization of individual IAFF locals that have united together to provide stronger services to our members. We need to be supportive of the candidates and elected officials that support firefighter issues and we need to make decisions based on what is best for our members and their future.
We also need to use the public trust we have earned to benefit those less fortunate than us. Community involvement and charitable acts define the firefighters in this organization.
We are a service organization. We provide service to those requesting assistance. We respect your desire to solve your problems on your own, but we stand ready to help you at a moments notice. We respect your independence, but await your call for help. This is what NOFF does.
Solidarity and strength in numbers is our strongest asset. We need you because your presence makes us stronger. Benjamin Franklin once said, “We must hang together, or we will hang alone.” United we will stand strong, divided we will fall prey to the endless resources of destruction our Employers have available to them.
